India's improving education system has been an important contributor to the country’s economic rise. In 2010/2011 students from India represented approximately 14% of the total foreign students in the U.S., making it the second largest country of origin, according to Open Doors report. The Institute of International Education has been organizing fairs in Asian regions since 1982. IIE and The U.S.-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) in partnership with Education USA, announce the Fall 2012 annual USIEF-IIE higher education fairs in India. |

The fairs are free for students and parents to attend. In addition to U.S. Universities representatives, students will get an opportunity to interact with consular offices from the U.S. Embassy and other government officials. Additionally, fair will give students an opportunity to meet representatives from the private sector, to explain ancillary services and products that can benefit students when travelling abroad.
